Scuba Diving Manta Point and Manta Bay Sites Photography Gallery
Big island about 20 Km South-East of Bali. High cliffs on the South Coast of Nusa Penida to Manta Point. Stunning views with arched islands and steep hills. Keep your camera handy!
60 minutes by speedboat to Manta Point and the manta rays' cleaning stations and feeding grounds.
Coral Reef State:
Good variety and number of hard and soft corals. Swell prohibits high growth.
Nice variety of tropical reef fish in Bali. Very often seeing big pelagic species such as manta ray, oceanic sun fish and nurse sharks. Manta Rays are seen on almost every trip. Large aggregations of blue spotted stingrays can also be witnessed most dives.
Slight. The difficulty of this dive site comes from the swell which can be strong as the Indian Ocean waves pound this coast. Manta Rays, Turtles, Fish and divers are all swinging together with the motion of the waves. Good buoyancy skills are needed.
10m to 30m. Manta Rays are attracted here by the amount of plankton and nutrients in the water. Bad visibility is often synonymous to having more Manta Rays in the water. The swell can also stir up the bottom and reduces visibility.
Due to the cost of fuel, we can only run trips to Manta Point when 4 divers or more are joining. It's a good idea to book well in advance in order not to miss out.
Manta rays are almost guaranteed here!. This being said this a natural environment and it can happen that the manta rays shy out. The only places where any species can be guaranteed 100% of the time is in an aquarium! Patience is sometimes required before the giants show up...
Divers are also often surprised by the sheer number of blue spotted stingrays.
