Type:

Small island about 20 Km East of Bali, the north coastal coral reef (Blue Corner) is hit by strong currents and attracts many large fish. It is definitely one of Bali's most challenging dive sites and probably one of the most difficult dive sites in the world! Only divers with at least 100 dives and extensive experience of diving in current should dive here at certain times only. The Mangrove dive site on the East side of the island may be an easier alternative when the tide is strong.

Access:

20 minutes by speed boat from Padang Bai to the 2 different dive sites on the north coast of Nusa Lembongan.

Coral Reef State:

Very good variety and number of hard and soft corals, most spots totally undamaged.

Fish Species:

Best variety of tropical reef fish in Bali, possible to see most of south east Asia's marine species in only one dive, very often seeing big pelagic species such as giant tuna, manta ray, oceanic sun fish mola-mola, marble rays and sharks (thresher shark).Any big fish can be seen here one a good day!

Current:

Strong and very strong depending on the moon (mostly drift dives). Blue Corner has many edies and whirlpools. Not for the light-hearted!

Visibility:

25m to 40m, best viz in Bali! Stable even in rainy season.

Note:

This dive site is only dived when the conditions are right and the right divers are present. If your dive guide recommends that you don't dive it, please don't insist and put yourself as well as us in a dangerous situation!

Highlights:

Some of the best diving in Bali! Strong currents attract all the big fish. An action-packed dive that is not for everyone!
