Technical diving often means pushing the limits of recreational diving. Physical demands put on your body are much higher than with recreational diving. This is the reason why prospective technical divers and students are required to download the medical statement and get it signed by a qualified doctor. In order to avoid bad surprises and to minimise risks, the Geko Dive Team recommends that this be filled by your personal doctor before leaving home.

tdi technical divers international bali logo 450PXTDI Advanced Nitrox Course

Course Description

The aim of the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver course is to teach divers the benefits, hazards and safe procedures for using enriched air up to 100% oxygen. This course allows divers to extend their bottom times at shallower depths. During the course students will learn equipment requirements, dive planning, oxygen tracking and blending methods and more. When successfully completed, divers can use blends of oxygen from 40 to 100% for optimal mixes to a maximum depth of 40m.

tdi technical divers international bali logo 450PXTDI Advanced Nitroc & Decompression Procedures Combo Course

Course Description

One of our most popular technical diving course combinations, Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures teaches students how to plan and conduct decompression dives to 45 metres on air whilst using Enriched Air mixes up to 100% to make decompression stops more efficient.

scuba diver underwater padang bai bali indonesia sidemount ok sign blue water 320px TDI Advanced Nitrox portion of the course examines the use of Nitrox with more than 40% oxygen and considerations of breathing higher levels of oxygen. You will learn more about oxygen toxicity and how it affects technical diving planning, how to choose equipment for use with high concentrations of oxygen and how to ensure your dives are planned within safe exposure limits.

TDI Decompression Procedures then examines how to conduct decompression dives to 45 metres using air as a bottom gas. The course outlines dealing with contingencies underwater, planning redundant equipment and gas supplies, efficient team communications, and dive planning using special software. The theoretical part will be an in depth look into the Physics and physiology of Tech diving and planning.

Duration:

  • 5 days, but allow extra days for remedial teaching. Theory session with recommended eLearning option completion prior to the start of the course, one confined dive and 7 open water dives, including 2 decompression dives.
