TDI Intro To Tech Dive Course
Course Description
The TDI Intro to Tech course is the perfect course for divers who have heard about technical diving and want to find out more about advanced diving. During the TDI Intro to Tech course you learn to dive with twinset tanks. Intro to tech will help you learn and improve buoyancy, trim, streamlining and advanced propulsion techniques.
In the theoretical part we cover more detailed dive planning such as Gas management, suitable gases, and the differences in physics between Recreational diving and Technical diving. The course will also introduce you to full Tech diving equipment and proper setup. The TDI Intro to Tech is also a great way of finding out whether tech diving is for you. At Geko Dive Bali we tend to focus more towards teaching with a Sidemount Configuration. Visit our Sidemount Page to find out why!
Duration:
- 3 days. Theory session, one confined (pool) session and 3 open water dives.
Prerequisites:
- Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
- 18 years old (15 years old with parental consent)
- Have a minimum of 25 logged dives
- Have a medical form signed by your physician
Technical diving often means pushing the limits of recreational diving. Physical demands put on your body are much higher than with recreational diving. This is the reason why prospective technical divers and students are required to download the medical statement and get it signed by a qualified doctor. In order to avoid bad surprises and to minimise risks, the Geko Dive Team recommends that this be filled by your personal doctor before leaving home.
